How prices are generated and updated

Updated: 2 October 2026

Prices are the most delicate part of any PC builder. This page explains where they come from, how they are refreshed, and what we do when a budget is not viable in today's market.

Where the data comes from

Three sources are combined in this order of priority: real store prices when available (Amazon Spain and PcComponentes through their affiliate programmes), a web-grounded market analysis refreshed daily, and a technical table of the current generation fixing which models exist and in which price band.

That table prevents the most common failure of AI here: recommending parts from two or three generations back. If a model is discontinued or has been superseded with better value, it does not appear.

How often it is updated

The market analysis is regenerated every day. Buying guides and reference builds are rebuilt weekly. At the time of writing, the latest price review is 2 October 2026.

Builds are cached and renewed periodically so you never wait and the content does not go stale.

Why RAM and SSDs are so expensive in 2026

AI data centres have absorbed the world's memory output. Manufacturers diverted capacity to the HBM memory used by GPUs, and SSD NAND followed. Contract prices have multiplied and the effect reaches consumers.

In Spanish market numbers: a 32 GB DDR5-6000 CL30 kit sits around 430 €, when in 2024 it sold for 100-120 €. A 1 TB NVMe SSD that cost 80 € is now 100-160 €, and 2 TB models mostly exceed 200 €.

That is why today's most useful advice differs from two years ago: dropping from 32 GB to 16 GB of RAM frees about 200 € that does far more good spent on the graphics card.

What we do when a budget is not possible

If you ask for a complete gaming PC for 800 € or smooth 4K for 1,200 €, the system will not invent a list that does not exist. It says so and offers the real options: integrated graphics, a second-hand graphics card, or stretching the budget to the minimum figure that works.

That is an editorial decision: we would rather give an honest, buyable recommendation than a pretty, false one.

Errors and how we fix them

Prices are indicative and change daily, so treat them as a comparison reference. Always check the amount in the store before buying.

If you see a clearly wrong price or a model that is no longer sold, tell us and it gets fixed.

Frequently asked questions

Are the prices exact?
No. They are indicative prices with VAT included, derived from public sources and updated periodically. Always verify the final price at the store.
How often are they updated?
The market analysis is refreshed daily; guides and reference builds weekly.
Why recommend 16 GB of RAM on tight budgets?
Because at 2026 prices RAM eats the most budget per euro of gaming performance. Cutting from 32 GB to 16 GB lets you step up a graphics card tier, which is what drives frame rates.
